  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Studio Accessibility Information

At Need2Renew, we are committed to providing a welcoming, comfortable, and accessible environment for all of our participants, whether you are joining us for an adult textile workshop or a children's holiday class. Because our classes are hosted in a dedicated home studio space, we want to ensure you have all the physical details you need to plan your visit seamlessly from arrival to departure.

Arrival & Parking

  • Accessible Parking: On street parking spaces are available or you can park directly in the studio driveway for participants with limited mobility or those displaying a Disability Parking Permit. Please let us know ahead of time if you require this space reserved for your session.

  • Drop-Off Zone: There are on street parking spaces where drop-offs can be made directly at the front boundary of the property, minimising walking distance to the entrance.

  • Path of Travel: The path leading up the driveway, through the garage to the entrance/drop-off area to the studio area has one step, with smooth concrete to ensure easy navigation for wheelchairs, walking frames, and prams.

Studio Entrance & Interior Layout

  • One Step Entry: Entrance into the home studio is sloping with one step, featuring a regular sized doorway to accommodate most mobility devices.

  • The Learning Space: Our workshop area is arranged with flexibility in mind. The main studio tables features standard-height seating, but we also provide height-adjustable workstations that can be tailored to your comfort or configured to comfortably fit a wheelchair.

  • Flooring: The entire studio space utilises smooth, hard surface flooring, eliminating the friction of thick carpets and making it easy to manoeuvre wheels or walking aids.

Accessible Amenities

  • Restroom Facilities: A step-free accessible toilet is located on the ground level directly adjacent to the studio space. It features standard doorways, and an accessible washbasin.

Workshops & Sensory Accommodations

  • Small Group Sizes: Because our studio is an intimate, home-based space, our class sizes are strictly capped. This naturally creates a quiet, low-sensory environment with minimal background noise, making it highly suitable for individuals who experience sensory overload.

  • Sewing classes: please note that during most sewing classes the use of sewing machines will create some noise.

If you or your child have specific accessibility requirements, medical needs, or sensory preferences not listed here, please contact us before booking. We are more than happy to discuss individual adjustments to ensure your creative experience is safe, relaxing, and fully supported!
